Engagement Session at Arbor Hills

A little winter engagement session I didn't get a chance to post this winter!  This couple was great!  They were so responsive to my direction in front of the camera, which made my job easy and the outcome one of my favorite sessions from this year.

As I was looking through these photos I was reminded of what a needed time winter is…when trees and plants go dormant….life naturally slows down a little and allows us to conserve some of our energy for life ahead.   It's a much needed time for me…and then once spring and summer arrive I'm always so appreciative of the life that it brings.  Winter keeps me from taking that influx of life for granted…and the closing of summer, after I have run hard and squeezed all of the life I could out of it…makes me appreciate the slowness that winter brings.  It's a necessary cycle for me.
