Baby Jude

The idea of being able to produce a life is so crazy to me....crazy in a good way.

To bring a child into this world is to be forced to loosen the grip you would like to think you have on the world around you.  It forces you to lose control.  To sacrifice. Be vulnerable. Consider the well being of someone who is not capable of helping themselves.  To love so deeply you feel like your chest might explode.  You will spend your whole life hoping that one big question looming over this little life...are they happy?...will be yes.  Their story has just begun to be written.  Ahead of them lies excitement, hope, love, hurt, dreams, failure, choices, consequences...the list goes on.

The moment a life enters the world...I imagine it's truly a moment filled with so much possibility...and so many emotions...all wrapped up in one little being.  When I stop and really dwell on what it means for someone to have a child...it really amazes me.

My friends Chavon and Casey have just recently embarked on this journey with their new baby boy, Jude.  He really is beautiful. One look at him and you're a goner....he almost demands your love with his sweet little face.  I hope for him.  I want him to be a light to those around him, to be passionate about people, and bring his own creative spin to this world.  I pray for his salvation, that he grows to be a man of strength and integrity.  So many things my heart begs for this little life. I wait in anticipation to see how his story unfolds.  He is blessed with parents that love him deeply and sacrificially.  Jude will change their lives forever.

I feel privileged to have captured these first moments with their family...thank you Casey and Chev for letting me into these moments...love you both!
